listed below. Remember, don't go overboard in

Pousadas in the Oporto & North
Region: Known as the "Cradle of Portugal",
this area north of the fabled Douro river is a mountainous
region with rivers, natural parks and steep, sloping
hillsides. The Douro river valley, with its many vineyards
is today classified as a world heritage site.
