One of the oldest Pousadas of Portugal (1947), this pousada maintains the feel of a
typical country house. This is excellent bird watching country, you can't miss the storks.
Not far away are some very nice beaches. This pousada has 7 rooms and a small swimming
pool.

of the least known of the Pousadas of Portugal, Serpa provides the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful stay
overlooking the vast Alentejo plains. Opened in 1961, it has 16 air conditioned rooms and

- Évora
Previously the Monastery of the Lóios Monks, this historic building is now
one of the most popular of the Pousadas of Portugal. A living document of Portuguese history, it is in the center of one of the most
fascinating towns in Portugal and one of the few to be designated as a world heritage site
by UNESCO. The 2,000 year old ruins of a Roman temple are literally at the front door of
the pousada. Opened in 1965, it has 32 rooms and a small swimming pool. It is well known
for its restaurant.

Located in the Estremoz castle since 1970, this Pousada of Portugal takes one back to the time of
Kings and Queens. In fact, you will be treated like royalty when you stay at this lovely
pousada. Many feel that this is the finest in the system. It has 23 air conditioned rooms.
